    Overview
    1. Features: O-type sealing ring is widely used in various dynamic and static sealing occasions because of its low manufacturing cost and convenient use.
    2. Standards: Most countries have developed a series of product standards for 0-type sealing rings, among which American standards (AS 568), Japanese standards (JIS B2401), and international standards (IS0 3601/1) are more common.
Factors to be considered in the selection of O-ring seals
    1. Working medium and working conditions
When selecting the material of the 0-ring, the compatibility with the working medium should be tested first. It is also necessary to comprehensively consider the working conditions such as pressure, temperature, continuous working time, and operating cycle at the seal. If used in rotating occasions, the temperature rise due to frictional heat must be considered. Different seal materials have different physical and chemical properties, see "Rubber Seal Material Characteristics Table".
    2. Hardness of O-ring
The hardness of the 0-ring material is the most important indicator for evaluating the sealing performance. The hardness of the O-ring determines the compression amount of the O-ring and the maximum allowable gap of the groove. Since the nitrile seal of Shore A70 can meet most of the conditions of use, if there is no special description for the sealing material, the nitrile rubber of Shore A70 is generally provided.
    3. Extrusion gap
The maximum allowable extrusion interval gmax is related to the system pressure, the diameter of the O-ring section and the hardness of the material. Generally, the higher the working pressure, the smaller the maximum allowable extrusion interval gmax. If the interval g exceeds the allowable range, the O-ring will be squeezed out or even damaged.
